Week 8

This week we looked at CSS 3, its basically a newer and more simple way of styling a html document, it allows you to pin point various paragraphs and elements with in an html page without have to use or (over use I should say) divs and class attributes. I think its very helpful and wish I knew a little about it before the midterm, I think it could have helped my work look a lot smoother. However the codes still not totally up and running with all browsers so I understand why it would not have been too smart to use in the midterm project. After the past couple sessions and looking back at my final project I'm thinking I may just change my idea, and no I don't think its too late because after all I've learnt I think i can complete this project in a week are two.

Week 7

This week we had our final in class assignment. I want focused through out the exam and didn't prepare well it either and it showed. My grade was pretty disappointing but i know i can make up for it with my midterm and final projects. At this point writing html and css pages is really fun and I actually like doing homework its challenging at times and figuring our a glitch has never been more entertaining. The first half of the midterm project was pretty simply if i should say was finished coding and styling the page in one day. The second half however is proving quite challenging and its taking me forever to figure out and I've pretty much googled my life out. Just one unanswered question is there a simple way to make an image fit to screen? Or is resizing the image over and over the only way to do it?

Week 6

This week we spent more time looking at our final project, as i said before i was having difficulty arranging some of my elements in my web page and i think this class helped me a lot. I noticed I was trying to rush along to quickly, and by separating the html from the css and working with one element at a time i managed to get very far in 2 hours than i would have gotten on my own in at least a week.
